wisloujscie-fortresswisloujscie-fortresswisloujscie-fortress
The fortification of the 15th century in the Vistula River, which was once part of the defensive system of the city. Several architectural styles mixed in the appearance of the fortress, as the building was repeatedly completed over several centuries. Until the middle of the 18th century, a lighthouse was located in a round central tower. Weixelmünde is recognized as an architectural monument of national importance.

Great tour, but only in Polish. The guide has big historical knowledge of the area and Gdańsk. For more tips: @kasiawhotravels

Didn't had an opportunity (so far) to visit this place as regular museum. However, as event venue (Wisłoujście festival), it deserves 5 out of 5 rating. Looking forward to visiting this place again in the future :)

In September they close already at 4pm. Would be fine if the owner changes the opening hours at google maps accordingly. There were many people arriving around 4 and leaving dissapointed.

Very interesting place, not only for its historical buildings, but for the perfect view from the tower also. The guide was nice and his explanation was exact and correct.

Certainly a place for the fortifications lovers. Would also recommend to anyone who like mysterious, half-abandoned places - especially by a foggy weather.

Highly underrated but a great place to pay a visit and learn a bit of history. Tower in the midlle is a must as it allow you to see the city and the ort from totally different angle. Please check opening hours and admission fee.
