The Tempel Synagogue, opened in 1895, is a stunning building designed in the Moorish style. The facade is adorned with Stars of David, adding to its grandeur. The spacious prayer halls once accommodated over 300 parishioners and quickly became the heart of the Jewish community in the city. Sadly, during the First World War, the synagogue was damaged by bombings, resulting in the destruction of part of its authentic facade and architecture. However, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Jewish community, the temple was swiftly reconstructed. By 1927, new decorative inscriptions adorned the interior and the roof was replaced. Unfortunately, during the Second World War, the synagogue suffered significant damage and was ultimately destroyed. Despite its tumultuous history, the Tempel Synagogue remains a fascinating place of worship. Visitors can still marvel at its beauty and appreciate its significance as a cultural and spiritual center. The synagogue holds prayers and Torah readings, providing a meaningful experience for those seeking a deeper connection to their faith. Reviews from previous visitors highlight the warm hospitality of the community, the wisdom of the rabbi, and the overall cultural experience of visiting this beautiful synagogue. Additionally, the synagogue's location in the city center makes it easily accessible, with the Town Hall and the Armenian Church nearby. It is important to note that one review mentions a negative experience, recounting a personal tragedy. However, this does not diminish the historical and cultural significance of the Tempel Synagogue.

My grandfather was burned by an Officer in this synagogue, and Judas did not even protect him. The service is terrible
