State Hermitage Museum

St. Petersburg, Russia
4.7 / 74
The largest museum in Russia, which, along with the Spanish Prado, the Paris Louvre and the Vatican Museums, is included in the list of the most outstanding and valuable collections of art in the world. The expositions of the Hermitage occupy 6 buildings; about 3 million exhibits are stored here. The real pride of the museum is the building of the Winter Palace, where the residence of the royal family was located. This magnificent complex was built by Bartolomeo Rastrelli in the style of "Elizabethan Baroque."

Just visited. The place is so huge. Could not finish the whole place though we spent 5 hours exploring it. The diamond exhibition is impressive.
So important historical place that everyone should visit when comes to St.Petersburg. There is audio guide while browsing but too large so you can complete the tour at least 3 hours.
One of the best buildings I have ever visited
It is the best museum in the world. I was there 4 days. But you need 3 months to see all. Painting is like magical. You can not stop looking. I can say the best experience I had.

State Heritage Museum is the second largest Museum in the word. But I think this is not popular by It's size. If the you enter the Museum you wouldn’t believe your eyes, how they made this. You find lots of amazing works.
