The palace was built in the XVII century in the Rococo style. He served as the summer residence of the Portuguese king Pedro II. Later, the building was used to accommodate dignitaries. Today, classical concerts are held on the territory of the palace. Particular attention is drawn to the luxurious Throne and Music Halls, as well as the magnificent and lavishly decorated royal chambers.

It was a nice quiet visit. Gardens are very nice and clean. A perfect place for a picnic. You can visit only the garden or both the palace and the garden. Obviously the garden only is cheaper.
