Potsdamer Platz

A parade ground in the Tiergarten area at the site of the destroyed Potsdam Gate. Before the bombing of World War II, a well-maintained quarter adjoined the square - a popular place for leisure and recreation of Berliners. Everything was destroyed and turned into ruins, nothing was preserved from historical buildings. Today, modern high-rise buildings tower around the square, where the offices of large corporations are located.
