Piazza Navona

Oval square in the central part of Rome, located on the site of the former circus of Domitian. Since the 16th century, ambassadors, cardinals, bankers, and other well-to-do representatives of society began to settle in this area. From the 15th century until the mid-19th century, there was a market here. In the middle of the square is the Fountain of the Four Rivers.
