A much more modest and ancient structure than the New Town Hall. The first mention of it dates back to the fourteenth century, but it is believed that it was erected in the XV century. The predominant construction style is Gothic, with the addition of later Renaissance architectural elements. The Toy Town Museum is now located in the Old Town Hall. As a result of the bombing of World War II, the building was damaged and a new spire had to be installed on the main tower.

Very nice small museum dedicated to toys. Great for all ages. Entrance is right off of the main Marienplatz square and as you get higher in the museum, you have some great views of the surrounding areas.

The Entrance fee was 6 euros for adults. I spent almost an hour looking at the various displays with most of them having English information along with the German information. There is a small souvenir shop on the ground level.
The toy displays cover a number of different toy types. They mainly included European and some American toy makers. They had train sets, Teddy bears, and numerous dolls including a whole display featuring Barbie dolls.
Very nice and worth a visit with or without kids.

It was ok for me and rather interesting to see the history of toys, but the name of this place is a little misleading: the only toys are in glass cases. My little sisters were rather disappointed because there aren't any interactive exhibits.

Very short quick museum. Can be done in 15 minutes. Can't play with any toys either. Could just as easily be a small private collection rather than a museum. Not really worth the price

Smallest museum ever. I’d say it was a waste of time, but it took 7 minutes from entry to exit. No history relevant to the “Old Town Hall” (reconstructed). This is coming from a guy who loves museums.
