Toronto Old City Hall

Toronto, Canada
4.7 / 100
old-city-hall-toronto
The historical building of the late XIX century. After the construction of the new building, the city hall wanted to demolish the old one, but the townspeople stood up for the architectural monument. Nowadays, the existing city court is located on the territory of the old city hall. The ancient architecture of the building is favorably set off by modern buildings located in the surrounding area.

Nice architecture. Must visit place if you are travelling to Toronto. For best view, visit it’s front side. It looks great at night, especially during summer days and during Christmas lights.

Very cool architecture with a large clock tower. Sticks out like a sore thumb but that's why it's the old city hall I guess! Had Nuit Blanche events in front of it.

Classic old building in downtown Toronto. The building is a nice architectural highlight in the area. The inside is not as well maintained but still nice to see. Definitely check it out if you're at the City Hall Area

Almost has a mini parliament hill feel to it. The romanesque style makes the building feel heavy when you first look at it. Architectural cohesion isn't Toronto's strong suite so let's just accept that as fact but the variety of styles.. Read more »

Iconic landmark in Downtown Toronto - it kind of smells funny inside, it could likely do with some renovations back to it's original glory - but from the outside this is a total gem. Security is very tight on the way in.
