National Museum of Natural History

The National Museum of Natural History is a surprising find in the city, with four levels filled with interesting exhibits. The museum covers a range of topics, from geological discoveries to world exploration. However, the ventilation and air quality could be improved as the museum can get hot and smelly. The prices are reasonable though. The museum has a variety of species on display, including a fascinating exhibition of stones and insects on the ground floor. The collection is great, but the audioguide can be a bit confusing and may require some extra effort to follow. The museum features sections dedicated to minerals, birds, mammals, and insects. There are standout exhibits like a two-headed turtle, a giant seashell, and the Nautilus Pompilius. The collection also includes a rich variety of flora, fauna, rocks, and minerals. The staff is friendly and polite, but it's a pity that the museum doesn't attract more visitors. Despite some stale smells in certain rooms, the museum is overall a good place to visit. It offers a unique opportunity to see taxidermy up close and showcases a wide range of species. The museum has a nostalgic feel but is definitely worth a visit for those interested in nature. However, some may find the exhibits to be outdated and comically stuffed. Regardless, the museum provides an enjoyable experience and the staff is helpful. It's a great place to explore and learn about the wonders of nature.

This place is very dated, extremely old examples of sometimes very comically stuffed animals. A huge bird collection. Fortunately not expensive to get in and raises a few smiles at some of the exhibits though I am sure this isn’t the intention.

Goog collection of animals and birds from all over the world. The vibe and the exposition feels a bit old-school. Yet, definitely worth a visit if you are interested in nature.

In general the museum is nice. However, the Antarctic exposition (which is unique btw) should be more centrally staged. Currently it is easy to be missed.
