The conservatory and concert hall named after V.A. Mozart. Mozerteum was founded in 1870 as an international foundation to help talented young musicians. Ten years later, a music school was opened on its basis. In 1924, Mozerteum received the status of a conservatory. Here students learn to play a variety of instruments, conductor's profession, music theory and musical creation.

This is the part of the university of Salzburg that deals with the teaching of music (hence the name). It is a world class facility attracting students from all over the world. It's also an excellent piece of modern architecsture in its own righ.. Read more »t. It's possible to visit during the day and indeed it's possible to attend for free concert by the students studying at the University. You can pick up a programme of performances from the main lobby.
