One of the oldest in Europe, has been hosting visitors since 1864. Currently, the zoo contains about 6 thousand individuals. They represent more than a thousand species of animals. The territory is divided by subject. There are both open displays and open-air cages, and closed. Anyone can arrange the guardianship of the animal they like, finance its maintenance and receive a number of privileges. The living symbol of the zoo is the Samson giraffe.

Nice experience, we were travelling to Moscow and my little one really enjoyed meeting the animals.

Interesting place a zoo in city! But i guess visit here in summer is not good idea. Animals and you too might be tired with the heat.

Easily gets crowded. At every indoors pavilion huge crowds and lines. So much for Zoo in the center of the city. Although the area with small and great ponds is very nice. Amazing they even have big colony of pink flamingo

Super nice place to come with children and spent day out. Adult entry fee is 500 roubles. Ticket counters accept cash as well as card payments. But inside the park is better to have cash, coz they accept Sberbank (local bank) cards only. Park is neat.. Read more » and clean. Very organized and interesting. There are also drinking water points free of charge, which came as pleasant surprise to me. Easily can spend entire day. There are eating joints also provided (fast food mainly). Also keep an eye on online schedules of animal feeding, during which animals come out their caves and u can have close up look and click photos.
