Beautiful architecture. If you can tolerate 1-2 hour queues it is worth the visit. Try to visit during fall/winter season as it will be less crowded.
Make sure to visit the Church. It is the best part and is free.

Be warned! In the morning, there is a looooong line outside under the burning sun with absolutely no shadow and vendors yelling "fresh water" for 2€. Get there early or you will have to queue (though it does move quick) to get in fully exposed to the Lisbon sun. Make sure you get a ticket before hand. But totally gorgeous on the inside. The monastery is an amazing example of late Gothic/ Manueline architecture.
You can get there by the scenic tram 15, although it might be a bit too crowded. The monastery itself is gorgeous! From the outside it looks really big, but you get entrance .. Sure, you can take amazing photos (and they let a small number of people inside at any given time, so your photos will look really nice) but I think the 10euros price is rather on the more expensive side. Other than that you won’t learn new history nor any more art is included. The line for the ticket and the entrance is separate and both can be long. Another line exists for the church which I recommend visiting as well.

Very pretty on the inside and outside.But to get a ticket ( not online) there is a massive queue, the open time is 10:00am off you get there 5-10 minutes before you won’t have to wait long in the queue also around 13:00 the queue is quite short.. I wouldn't plan on more than 2 hours for both the monastery and the archeology museum. Come early; when we left around noon there were substantial lines for tickets. All said, I'm very glad we went to visit, but the experience could certainly be improved.

There was no queue when we arrived on a Tuesday morning and it was nice and quiet inside. If you have the lisboa card you should pop in for a quick walk around. It's very nice. Didn't spend so long here, just maybe 30 minutes.
