The gallery is located in an 18th century palace. The museum opened in 2001 after a complete restoration of a somewhat dilapidated building. The museum collection is a collection of paintings by artists and sculptors from Alicante and the surrounding area who worked in the period of the 16th-20th centuries. There are works by H. Agrosot, L. Casanov, A. Hisbert, F. Cabrera and other masters. The museum has a program to support young talents.

Lovely little art museum in Alicante. It's free to enter as well! Unfortunately during my visit the second floor was closed, but that just means I can visit again when in Alicante! Staff are friendly and helpful as well. Worth the visit!

A wonderful gallery of beautiful paintings and worthy of 5 stars except for the hostile reception of the staff which made me rate it 3 stars..I would happily purchase a ticket but the staff I met could certainly do with some customer service training.. Read more »
Nice museum with stunning artworks but wasn't allowed to take pictures inside.
Wonderful museum with absolutely stunning art. The paintings are mostly from Spanish artists and made out of oil paint. The only minus was, that you couldn’t take photos inside as I had to find out… but still definitely worth a visit.
