Golden Gate are located on the street. A servant in the historical center of Gdansk. They were erected at the beginning of the XVII century instead of the old Gothic gates that were part of the city fortifications. The building was built in the style of Dutch mannerism according to the project of A. van der Blok. In the 1940s, during the war, the structure was destroyed, like many other attractions. In 1957, she was restored to her former appearance.

The old city of Gdansk was truly amazing, many of the buildings were damaged in WW2 but the fronts are wonderfully reconstructed. Would go again.

The building is being renovated at the moment so there is boarding around the lower level. It detracts slightly from the experience but obviously needs to be done. Still worth a visit to this iconic building.

Well they been doing something to it so it's hard to get the full view. As well as when you walk around you don't even spot this "Golden Gate, " it's on the wayof the other main attractions.
