The wooden palace in Kolomenskoye Park, owned by Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. It opened to visitors in 2010. The building was laid in the XVII century, its appearance was conceived in such a way as to emphasize the power of the Russian state and the greatness of the king. The interior was distinguished by splendor and luxury. Under Catherine II, the palace was dismantled, but preliminary detailed drawings were made of it. According to these drawings, the complex was fully restored later.

Located on the territory of the Moscow Museum-Reserve "Kolomenskoye". The museum consists of a large picturesque park, it houses preserved historical architectural buildings and, of course, a recreated palace. It looks like a fairy-tale tow.. Quite recently this palace did not exist - the masterpieces of wooden architecture do not spare time, no matter how perfect they may be.
In the 1990s, the Moscow government decided to recreate the autocrat's choir. Construction work began in 2007, the painstaking and tireless work of builders, restorers, historians and art critics was able to create a wonderful palace in 3 years, which we now have the opportunity to see with our own eyes. The combination of landscapes and architecture turned the estate into a non-fussy oasis in the center of the capital.

A very nice experience that’s takes u to the tsar days 1680. You see the tsar room , the lovely details in the walls and the ceiling it’s just magnificent💕breath taking. I love the castle design. I just do not like that we can not visit every single rooms of it.

It's a little bit sad that this palace is just a reconstruction and by that way it doesn't "feel" very historic at the first glimpse. But I think it's a great idea to awake the history and show people today the life of ancien.. Read more »t Tsar and his family. It's quite interesting. Next time I would choose an Audio Guide.
Anyway, the staff is as unfriendly as in every other museum in Moscow and just one of them was able to speak English (very little for an touristic highlight).
