Charlottenburg
Berlin, GermanyPalace of the late XVII century in Baroque style, a gift of King Frederick I to his wife Sophia Charlotte of Hanover. After completion of construction, it immediately began to be used as a royal residence. In front of the palace is a park in the classical traditions of French and English landscape art. Initially, the building was called Litzenburg, but after the death of the queen was renamed in her honor.
