And before balking with judgement at the intimidating and clearly propaganda-scale display, just remember (and observe) the astounding diversity of culture which is celebrated by this vast park - a true tribute to the massive reach of the beautiful country. Keeping it one country comes at a great cost (and it obviously has gotten MUCH smaller as regions have become empowered) but this is a rare place you can literally WALK THROUGH the national romanticism which is presently Russia.

VDNH (All-Russian Exhibition Center) is a stunning place to get leisure. There are many ways to entertain yourself, family and children. In addition to the fact that VDNH is a historical place with a large number of pavilions dedicated to different r.. Read more »epublics of the former Soviet Union, there are also many modern ways to have fun here. In wintertime, it is a huge (the biggest as I'm informed) ice rink that is really affordable (also available with your own skates), in other seasons a lot of sidewalks and paths are perfect for just walking and riding a bike. As for me, I'm a huge fan of the GREAT WALKING ALLEY that was constructed recently. Its length is more than 5km (or about 3.2miles). Its shape like a bulb with a base at the main entrance of VDNH. It's really interesting. Take a tour of it to observe different landscapes including a reservoir with fountains.
If you are an avid photographer, you will definitely find ways to take a lot of cool pictures of both the complex itself and the square area of VDNH. Some pavilions are made in the style of the Renaissance. For example, rabbit breeding pavilion. Its number is 44. It's under reconstruction at the moment. However, I took great pictures of its facade. I'm not aware much of the pavilions in detail, it's up to you what of them to visit and find out more. I just totally recommend visiting the pavilion Космос which reveals the history of space shipbuilding and space exploration in 60th and 70th of the last century. Just in front of the pavilion, the space ship ВОСТОК is represented that is the exact copy of the original one. Yuri Gagarin, the first astronaut made the first manned flight in the Earth history into the space on just such a ship. That's really great to look at it from a short distance! I liked the bottom view of the huge nozzles. There is a helicopter МИ-8, СУ-27 fighter, reusable space shuttle БУРАН on the square. They are fairly symbolic, convey the spirit of the Soviet Union.
I liked the pavilion where the scope mock of Moscow City constructed. It's highlighted with illumination and looks like a real city. Take pictures and send them to your friends, nobody will distinguish that it's the scope mock, not the real City😂
For your convenience, there is two subway stations nearby VDNH - ВДНХ and Ботанический Сад. If your choice is the main entrance you need to get off the subway at ВДНХ station, if you prefer getting park area get off at Ботанический Сад station southern exit, 5 minutes walking to the destination. By the way, the bus #533 links both subway stations and the route runs just through the area of VDNH with plenty of stops. One more way to see attractions 😉
In a word, you should visit this place and choose the type of leisure suitable for you. Very crowded at weekends. Admission is free, 24 hours open.
I rate it five stars.
