Alexander Nevsky Cathedral
Lodz, Poland
4.8 / 49
The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a stunningly beautiful building located near the Moniuszki park in Łódź. It is a cute and colorful little church that is definitely worth visiting from the outside. However, it is unfortunately not possible to go inside, despite the stated opening hours, which is quite disappointing. The cathedral looks wonderful from the outside, but it is unclear when it might be possible to see the interior. It is currently surrounded by a fence with a closed gate and is situated in a parking lot, which is a bit of a shame. Nevertheless, it is still the most colorful church in Łódź, standing out from the more gothic and dark churches in the area. It is a great example of Orthodox architecture and is a sight that you haven't seen before. Built in 1884, the church has a beautiful design and is a testament to the Russian Orthodox style. The community and the Pop are known to be welcoming, making it a truly amazing place to visit.
