Dementiev & Co. bought the dilapidated house of Haas on Deribasovskaya and invited the architect Lev Vladek. In the Soviet period, on the ground floor there was a confectionery manasin and the Chronicle documentary cinema. And now we have reached our century: the reconstruction has been carried out since 2010. From the original building there were only external walls, but what! The facade of the updated architecture masterpiece is flawless. True, some Odessa citizens criticize the new look of the hotel because of its color, and there are indignations about the silver built attic, because two extra floors have been added to it. Yes, in the modern attic are not used, and the color can be considered unique and unusual. As a result: on the central street of Odessa, a masterpiece of architecture and a tourist object has been preserved and not only!
