The Tempel Synagogue in Kraków is a historical site that is currently undergoing renovation. Visitors have expressed mixed opinions about the experience, with some feeling disappointed and others finding it impressive. The entrance fee has been a point of contention for some, as they feel the lack of historical information and limited access to certain areas of the synagogue does not justify the cost. Some visitors have also noted that the staff can be unfriendly or unhelpful. However, others appreciate the beautiful interiors of the synagogue and its significance as a surviving structure from World War II. Overall, opinions about the Tempel Synagogue vary, with some recommending it as a worthwhile visit and others cautioning against it.

A richly decorated synagogue from the end of the nineteenth century century. Still in use by the liberal community! It is interesting to see this and get the perspective of the Jewish life before the holocaust. One is always given the impression of t.. Read more »

The renovation was ongoing, all in dust and everything, was outrages, as soon as you open the door you don't want to even to go in. However the hôtesse didn't say anything, got her money before that door. It's huge tourist trap. .. Read more »

Sadly, it's being renovated and the hostess doesn't tell you. Don't go as a tourist until you confirm it's finished. I would not go even after renovations are complete except for services anyway. It's pretty but not spectacul.. Read more »

You have to pay to enter temple that is not a museum. Many parts of the temple look unfinished and need repair.

Beautiful interiors of an old synagogue that managed to survive WWII. However, be aware that it is not a museum, so you don't get a lot of information and the synagogue is not on a good state and some parts are covered to avoid further damage. A.. Read more »

This is a first for me. Never visited a synagogue before. All in all it wasn't worth the entrance fee. Oddly it was the only religious establishment except the Jewish Museum which charged an entrance fee.

Interesting to visit, beautifully decorated and intense atmosphere. It's not a museum, so there's little explanation as to what you see besides a little pamphlet you are handed at the entrance - having little background information on Jewis.. Read more »

It was amazing to be able to walk inside the temple. It's sad they still haven't been able to repair parts of it. I hope they can receive the funding to repair it soon.

Well worth a visit. This synagogue only survived the wwas because the Nazis used it to stable their horses! Lovely stained glass windows too.
