Shakhtar Stadium

Shakhtar Stadium, located in Donetsk, Ukraine, was once a thriving and well-maintained sports facility. However, it has unfortunately been abandoned for over seven years. Despite this, the main stadium bowl is still in use, albeit sparingly, due to its deteriorating condition. The training fields, halls, and other services, on the other hand, are still operational. Visiting the stadium was a pleasant experience for many, as the locals were friendly and the stewards were helpful, eagerly practicing their English skills. The stadium itself leaves a lasting impression on visitors, with its grandeur and impressive architecture. It is important to note that the stadium is currently closed to the public. However, training sessions and sports schools continue to operate within its premises. Small soccer fields surround the stadium, where young athletes train regularly. It's worth mentioning that Shakhtar Stadium should not be confused with the Donbass Arena. The photo that was posted may have been taken from the Donbass Arena, which is a separate facility.
