Read more »wful resident of ukraine and have the proper document to travel domestically and as well I was on time for my flight. I will be making an additional complaint and taking necessary and the appropriate action with the authorities. I have all rights to travel freely in Ukraine.

John Relatively small Airport with only bus and Steps for boarding. Maim terminal quite modern and proficient. People traffic seems small also. Car rental.. Read more »s and taxis ample. Coffee shop there on arrival lobby. Departure yet to see.

The lady at the baggage control was very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were clean. It is important that all levels and rooms are accessible for handicap people.

Read more »artures are quite decent - no queues (but maybe that's because covid times), the lady at security check was extremely polite and they have screens that guide people to different security lines depending on their flights - i've only seen that in schiphol before, and it's super cool! potentially should save some time. the internal flights gates area is quite small, but cozy - there's enough room, a lot of sitting places, one small cafe and free water! again, not a common thing to find in airports worldwide :) the only downside is that I've managed to find only one power socket, not sure maybe there are more at international flights gates. the ladies at the gate were also very nice, especially comparing to Boryspil.
the mixed feelings bit is about arrivals :) i am almost sure that they have the old luggage carousels from the old terminal - and they are horrible and outdated. i had a very strange experience trying to get my luggage that got delivered by another flight, and not a single staff person seemed to know how i should do it.
the other thing is taxi access - they started to charge arriving cars even if they only stop for a minute, which is unheard of. considering that the only other ways to get to the airport is a trolley (which I've never seen) and a marshrutka (i know it exists but have no idea where to board it, even after I've lived in this city for 15 years) - this is beyond evil. seriously, you give free water, but you don't allow taxis to come and offboard passengers for free? COME ON

Capt Been in and out of some rough Terminals in my time but this is not so bad, somewhere in the middle of the list. Of course improvements could be made, .. Read more »decor and cleanliness but a recent outward trip through old Terminal, ladies cleaning floor regularly on a miserable day outside. Toilets could do with repairs and maintenance in old Terminal but great in the new one. When is the new Terminal going to be finished for both in and out transfers ?

Read more »or arrivals and I think that is the huge mistake - people are spending nearly 0 time there while arriving to Odessa... And the opposite - every time the visitor departures - he spends at least an hour at the terminal (usually more! especially when the flight is late!) - and as far as for all of the departures the old terminal built and renewed at the time when USSR existed is being used - I personally feel ashamed for my native city's airport and how it looks. Also absolutely crazy prices and awful quality in the snack bar inside - it's times better and even times cheaper to wait until you board a plane!!! Again - I feel really ashamed for these things... Hopefully something will change but as it goes - I don't believe it will change soon :(

Read more » The new terminal has a much larger area for arrivals and baggage retrieval. Luggage carts are free. Be careful of taxis that try to charge too much. If possible arrange in advance with your hotel/accommodations for transfer from the airport. Slowly but surely getting there with the new terminal. Not sure when all flights will utilize it for their departures or when all the rental car agencies and pax services will transfer to it.

I arrive early when flying out of Odessa. I never have a problem when I arrive. I have had my luggage inspected once out of 10+ in bound flights.
It is not as nice as Kiev (Kyiv), but Kiev has not given Odessa the money to upgrade like they have some other airports. And I haven't used the new terminal.
Taxis are MUCH nicer now that Petroshenko has cracked down on corruption. Still pricey for Odessa, but not too bad.
