The Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Museum is a historical and cultural landmark that was founded in 1927. It is located in the house where the renowned Ukrainian writer Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi was born in 1864 and lived until 1897. The museum is set in a beautifully landscaped area, with many trees and shrubs that were planted by Kotsyubynskyi's grandfather. The museum is known for its preserved buildings and features a 250-year-old linden tree.
However, it is important to note that the museum is currently undergoing renovations and is not open to visitors at the moment. There have been some issues with communication and availability, as visitors have reported difficulties reaching the museum or not being informed about its closure. Therefore, it is recommended to check the museum's status before planning a visit.
In normal circumstances, the museum offers guided tours and various events, providing insights into the life and works of Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi. Visitors can explore the museum, view Kotsyubynskyi's travel card and manuscripts, and learn about the history of the renowned writer. The museum has been praised for its well-maintained and clean environment, as well as its friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Overall, the Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Museum is a significant cultural site, but it is currently closed for renovations. Once it reopens, it is worth a visit for those interested in Ukrainian literature and history.

The most atmospheric museum in Vinnytsia. After the reconstruction of the main garden, the Pirogov Museum should be a worthy competitor, although the personality of the outstanding surgeon is much more hyped than that of the outstanding writer Mykhai.. Read more »lo Kotsiubinsky.
But I would not focus specifically on the works of Kotsyubynskyi, but in general I would build the entire excursion program on the story of the role of the writer in general at the end of the 19th century. 20th century. And the personal life of this family is much more interesting than the literary context!
The administrative part has already been updated. There is a great showroom, a fully inclusive space, including a bathroom. The staff is mostly young, which is nice and fun.
Entrance to the territory is 30 hryvnias, the house itself is still under renovation, so it is closed. And there is an opportunity to order an excursion for UAH 300 (up to 10 people).
The location is very good - literally 500 meters from the center of Vinnytsia. This is the former Abazivka farm, which the grandfather of the writer Maksym Abaz built for his family. Interestingly, to this day, the development of the territory of the former farm is minimal: the Petrocenter, the Officers' House, and a number of buildings along Bevza Street. That is, the museum territory is not drowned in the courtyard of high-rise buildings.
A very nice atmosphere of the village has been created:) In this regard, it is as if Kotsyubinsky himself will come out of the house now and invite you to drink coffee under the linden tree:)
The territory is not as grand as Pirogov's, but there are enough details. What is the worth of the empty pedestal where the monument to the son of Kotsyubynsky stood, demolished during decommunization. And a pile of hay, for example, also adds smiles. As I understand it, this is hay, which was immediately harvested as part of cutting the grass)
UAH 30 for the atmosphere is a symbolic fee in support of such historical projects. To go to a kindergarten, to walk for half an hour, to read the story of a famous countryman on the stands - what is not an educational plan?
I recommend it to my closest friends

The museum is closed for restoration indefinitely. They spent a lot of time to get here and did not meet anyone but a skeptical guard. I do not advise coming here unless you are sure that it is open.

You cen see house where was born one of most famous ukrainian writers Mykhailo Mykhailovych Kotsiubynsky. The building dated by 18-19 century and looks very autentical.
The literary-memorial museum was opened here in 1927.
