Historic place almost in the Center of Agia Napa. It is closed, but can be seen through the fence and from above. If you are in Agia Napa, it is worth a walk around the site.

Cannot enter this monastery which was disappointing.
It's placement next to Agia Napa's night life is the issue with the surrounding area being so dirty.
Be careful if you wear sandals/flip flops in the surroundimg areas ... Lots of broke.. Read more »n glass. Multiple times I have found broken glass surrounding this monastery.

Right now, it's a museum that houses a unique and meaningful exhibition. It is however currently still in the early development stage. The monastery grounds and Seferis Square are the venues for regular, large-scale religious and secular events: festivals, holidays, concerts, etc.

We were lucky enough to turn up on the first evening of the annual Medieval Festival and it was fantastic. a carnival, stilt dancers. musicians in costume, the whole works. Loads of stands displaying works by local artists and historical maps of old.. Read more » Aya Napa.
During the day, it is a tiny area in the middle of the seediest, tacky bars I have ever seen. The chewing gum on the floor were the only safe bits to stand on. It a tragedy that the town planners let the area around this beautiful old complex become surrounded in this way. Very sad.

The monastery is beautiful, it is like an island of piece in a very busy and noisy place. Too bad a good portion of the monastery was closed for restoration works.

the monastery is situated in the center of the city. It is an old and interesting archaeological vestige. I was impressed by the entrance tree (Ficus Sycomorus) that is very old I think it has a few hundred years !!!!

... the place does give a calming, for some an eiree feel when visiting some of the abandoned rooms. the place is full of history to include miracles and love. nice temporary refuge from the hustle and bustle of this party town.
