Not sure if it was because I visited on a weekend, but there was an area with bookshelves and beanbags, hammocks etc to lounge about and read.
Also lots of food stands, some with seats, otherwise just buy the food and eat by the fountain. We got by .. Read more »with some broken German/English.
Nice to sit and watch the trams go, watch a dog run into the fountain and play in the water (the owner tried holding him back initially) and have some food. Lively area yet chill.

If you want traditional Austrian Fayre or food there are plenty of street vendors.
Shopping is great too with major retailers plus local Austrian goods.

Very beautiful very nice. So much to see and do. We came when they had many vendors set up around the square. Lots of shopping available through all the connecting side streets. Graz Tourism office is also just down the street. Trams run every five m.. Read more »ins or less. Great place to visit. Pick tour times wisely, as it can get busy with nice weather approaching.
