Kashveti St. George Church is a stunning and iconic church located in Tbilisi. The atmosphere inside the church is peaceful and serene, creating a sense of tranquility. Outside, the well-groomed territory and lovely garden add to the overall beauty of the place. The church is well-known among the local Tbilisians and holds great significance as it is often the site for baptisms. The architecture of the church, designed by Leopold Bilfeldt, is inspired by the medieval Samtavisi Cathedral. The church is decorated with sacred paintings and frescoes painted by the renowned Georgian artist, Lado Gudiashvili. In the evening, the church and its surroundings are illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. Although some visitors have not had the opportunity to enter the church, they still appreciate its beauty and spirituality. Wonderful art as one enters, and the very pleasant incense sometimes sounds of the choir singing. A great place of momentary contemplation and sightseeing while touring through the capital city of Georgia.
