Hundertwasser House

Vienna, Austria
4.6 / 57
The Hundertwasser House in Vienna is a truly magical and mysterious architectural masterpiece. Its playful design and vibrant colors make it a dream come true for artists and art enthusiasts. The museum showcases original art installations, making it a truly unique experience. However, guests are not allowed to take pictures with any media, including smartphones, and must store their cameras at the counter. Once inside, you'll be captivated by the beauty of the design, market, poetry, and paintings. The outdoor area surrounding the museum is also picturesque, with funky buildings and a lovely fountain. There are tourist shops for souvenirs and a nice café on the corner. It's worth mentioning that the cobblestone floor may not be suitable for wheelchair users or those with prams/buggies. Despite its current state of neglect, the Hundertwasser House remains an interesting and colorful architectural site that is definitely worth a visit. The building itself is inhabited, so there isn't much to do besides admiring the facade and shopping for souvenirs. The vibrant and colorful design of the building is truly amazing and leaves a strong impression. If you're a fan of unique architecture, this is a must-visit destination. The Hundertwasser House offers a refreshing departure from conventional architecture and is a delightful addition to any trip to Vienna. While I only had the chance to admire the exterior, it was a sight that left a lasting impact. Additionally, there's a charming pub nearby where you can watch a free mini documentary about the housing estate, providing further insight into the history and concept behind this extraordinary architectural gem. If you appreciate artistic and unconventional structures, the Hundertwasser House is a must-see attraction in Vienna. Its incredible architecture and design will captivate you with its stunning colors and unique forms. The house stands out among the typical Viennese buildings, and its interesting architecture with a splash of different colors is truly captivating. You don't need a ticket to visit the Hundertwasser House, and you can enjoy a great perspective of the building from the main street.
