The Government House of Ukraine is a magnificent 10-storey historic skyscraper located on Hrushevskoho Street. Built in the style of the Stalinist Empire, it stands as a monumental architectural masterpiece. This grand structure, also known as an architectural monument, has been the home of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR since 1990, and later the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine since 1991.
Constructed between 1936 and 1938, the Government House was the first building of a new administrative complex in Lypky. It held the title of the tallest skyscraper in Kiev from 1941 to 1954, following the demolition of the Ginzburg Skyscraper.
