Gora Berda
Chernivtsi, Ukraine
4.1 / 10
Gora Berda, also known as Byrd, is the highest "mountain" in the plains of Ukraine and Khotyn Upland, reaching 515.7 meters in height. Despite its title as a mountain, it actually features a flat peak covered in a dense beech forest. Visitors looking for a distinct peak may be disappointed as it is not easily identifiable. However, the mountain offers stunning views from the village of Rashkiv, located 20 kilometers away, as well as from the descent to the Hukiv stream, which is just 5 kilometers from the village of Chornivka. Although it may not cater to everyone's preferences, some individuals find Gora Berda to be a unique and beautiful sight. However, it is important to note that the mountain is not suitable for tourists as it lacks proper facilities and infrastructure. Despite this, some explorers may enjoy the challenge of finding this hidden gem. It seems that the experience of visiting Gora Berda may vary, as one person did not have the opportunity to visit and others had differing expectations.
